At Universal Linen, we are proud to be an independently-owned and operated Linen Service Provider founded on the principles of providing quality products, while at the same time, the best customer service in our industry.  Universal Linen Service is the largest family owned and operated linen rental business in the state, with roots dating back to 1896.  In 2008 Universal undertook a 5 million dollar plant overhaul and image makeover at our laundry facility in Louisville, KY.  We added brand-new German engineered and manufactured technology, and refurbished equipment that has proven to be the best in the business.  Working by a principle of continuous quality improvement day after day means staying in tune with all of our customers’ vast needs, providing the products and services they want, and also using the latest customer service technology available in our industry today.

Our technology truly is unparalleled in the industry. Starting with our Route Servicemen (RSM); each RSM and truck is equipped with handheld computers and printers on their route. These hand-held computers help to ensure deliveries are accurate, with complete and on-time deliveries 100% of the time.  Any of our Route Servicemen have the flexibility and empowerment to adjust invoicing right at the customer location, and print new tickets based on customers needs. The advanced technology continues with our online account management system, giving our customers the ability to manage their account information, order products, reduce or increase inventory levels, view previous invoicing, also schedule deliveries…all with the click of a mouse!

Universal Linen is a complete textile service provider.  Every week we touch an average of 290,000 pounds of product ranging from table linens & napkins in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors, medical & lodging linens in a variety of sizes, counts & fabrics, over 20 different options of microfiber, terry and towel products, uniforms for hospitals and medical centers like scrubs, lab coats & patient gowns, as well as uniforms for restaurants and clubs.  We also take pride in our dust control program, servicing floor mats, both standard and logo, wet mops, dust mops, microfibers.  We even provide a wide range of quality restroom products such as motion-controlled paper towel, anti-bacterial & soap dispensers as well as auto flushers.
